Nephrology Services:

• Dialysis Excellence: Our Dialysis Unit comprises a multidisciplinary team of nephrologists, nurses, social workers, dietitians, and technicians. We focus on delivering optimal outcomes for dialysis patients. Our commitment to innovation allows us to provide high-quality dialysis care that is both accessible and comfortable, with significantly improved results. Our Dialysis Unit features state-of-the-art volumetric-controlled hemodialysis machines, operated by highly skilled technical and nursing staff. Moreover, we boast one of the few units in West Bengal where regular endotoxin tests are performed. To enhance patient comfort during dialysis, each dialysis station is equipped with a sophisticated audio/visual system, allowing patients to watch TV programs of their choice.
• Critical Care Nephrology: Our Center for Nephrology plays a pivotal role in intensive care by providing critical care nephrology services to ICU patients experiencing acute renal failure, volume imbalances, or electrolyte and acid-base disorders. We are equipped to dialyze critically ill patients without the need to transfer them to the primary Dialysis Unit.
• Preoperative and Cardiovascular Kidney Support: Our Dialysis Center collaborates closely with other medical specialties to address patients’ kidney health before surgical procedures or cardiovascular interventions such as Coronary angiograms and angioplasties. This approach ensures the best possible outcomes. Our daily activities involve performing over 400 hemodialysis procedures, CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis), 10-15 SLEDDs (Sustained Low-Efficiency Daily Dialysis), and 25-30 temporary/permanent vascular access placements each week.

• Peritoneal Dialysis – CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis) and CCPD (Continuous Cyclic Peritoneal Dialysis) training programs for patients and their caregivers.
• Percutaneous Renal Biopsy performed under Ultrasound guidance.
• Renal Histopathology studies.
• Management of essential and secondary hypertension.
