Laparoscopic Surgery

The Minimally access/invasive surgery or more commonly known as laparoscopic surgery or keyhole surgery or band-aid surgery is the advance surgery technique. As the terminology indicates, this advanced surgical technique is carried out by making minute incisions in the body. Unlike the open surgery technique, it does not require to make a slit across the site of the organ.

Laparoscopic surgery has huge scope in the following aspects:

  • Hernia repair surgery
  • Gallbladder surgery
  • Small and large intestine surgery
  • Infertility treatment
  • Rash on nipple
  • Reproductive organ surgery like hysterectomy, ligation etc.

Laparoscopy can also be used as a diagnostic approach to get crucial information without performing the membrane or the organ. It can be used to

  • Check for tumors and polyps
  • Collect the sample for biopsy
  • Stages of cancer,
  • Evaluate any treatment’s effectiveness

Laparoscopic surgery offers numerous benefits over the traditional approach such as

  • Fewer operative risks
  • Fewer post-operative risks
  • Shorter hospital stay
  • Better aesthetics
  • Faster recovery and more,

This top-notch surgical approach is substituting the traditional surgery these days.
