Most of the people have this perception that heart attacks are sudden. But this may not be the scenario every time. Several heart attacks may start with a mild discomfort in the chest. You should always seek medical help, even if you are not sure about its origin.
Symptoms may differ from person to person, but some of the common symptoms are as follows-

One of the major symptoms is chest pain, it may be very mild in case of some patients. It can be either cardiac or non-cardiac. Keep in mind that NOT all attacks begin with severe pain, some may start with mild discomfort while taking rest or doing everyday work. This is more likely in case for diabetes patients. Pressure, fullness, squeezing or crushing pain should be considered as chest pain and medical help should be opted for. The chest pain can either be persistent or rhythmic. The severity may vary based on an individual’s age, gender and medical conditions.
