A thyroid nodule biopsy, known as Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA), is a minimally invasive procedure that evaluates thyroid nodules to determine whether further treatment is required or whether they are benign. As most thyroid nodules are non-cancerous, a biopsy provides valuable information, ensuring proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment while avoiding the need for surgery.

They should attend follow-up appointments to discuss further treatment if swelling or pain persists, or to check whether the existing treatment is going well.
