As ILS completes 19 years, I can’t help but marvel at this wonderful journey that saw us extending our presence from Salt Lake, Agartala to Dumdum and finally to Howrah. Along the way we have changed the landscape of healthcare services in Eastern India. But even today, we remain dedicated to our mission of treating every patient with equal care.

The year 1999 was indeed life changing for me as the idea of setting up a Laparoscopy Unit in Kolkata was conceived during that year. Being lucky enough to be supported by family members and extremely close associates, my dreams transformed into reality with the birth of ILS Hospitals on the 10th of July, 2000. Since then, the growth of ILS has indeed been remarkable as it expanded from an 8 bedded unit to 4 multispecialty hospitals. And this overwhelming growth story has only been possible thanks to the support of the team members, employees and other patrons of our hospital.

Looking back at the journey of ILS from 8 to 580 + beds makes me very nostalgic. It’s the hard work of our employees and the trust of our patients that has brought us to where we are today. And I’m confident that with their love and support, ILS will continue to achieve many more milestones in the days to come.

Having been associated with ILS Hospitals for 19 years, it gives me immense joy and pride to see that the foundation of love and care on which ILS was built is still intact. In fact, it has only gotten stronger over the years. I wish loads of luck to ILS and hope it will have a great future ahead.

Since its inception, ILS Hospitals has proved that excellence gets recognized even at an early stage. And today, it stands as a pioneer in medical science. I feel humbled to have been associated with ILS through this journey. And I hope to see ILS Hospitals continue its march of glory in the years to come.

I was part of the operation team when ILS took birth 19 years ago with just 8 beds and a handful of services. Today when I see that ILS has evolved into such a big multispecialty health institution, it fills my heart with pride. All my best wishes will always be with my child-ILS, in this life and beyond.
